Rijschool Oppertopper

Fantastische ervaring: Goede rijschool, ben voor mijn motor en auto rijbewijs in een keer geslaagd.

Negatieve ervaring: NEVER go to this school. I made a great mistake of not reading reviews beforehand and spent too much time and money here. I had no prior experience with driving, so Ron was my first driving instructor. We were driving in Amsterdam. He seemed quite friendly at the beginning, he explained how the lessons will take place and when the exam "should" happen. However, when I paid him the second part for the course he drastically changed. Ron started shouting at me in the car, he was ALWAYS late for our classes for minimum 10 minutes, the car was always dirty and he even confirmed himself that the car was in dare need for the service (which probably never happened). When I asked how should we compensate for the time that he is late, Ron always said that he has a next lesson after mine and we would do that later (which obviously never happened). Unfortunately, I have already paid him the full amount when I understood that this is a scam and of course he wasn't willing to give my money back, so I decided to continue, but it got EVEN worse. We were not preparing for exam, not doing any manoeuvres, only going where he needed to be or bringing his son to the football classes. I persistently asked to schedule a driving test, but he always said we will schedule it closer to the date itself and he knows how do to it without a queue. But when the time came he scheduled an exam in 2!! months in Hoorn without my prior approval. When I said that that date was not convenient for me, because I had work obligations he's screamed that he confirmed it with me and I've already agreed. I managed to stay calm and said that we can check our WhatsApp history to see that there were no messages or incoming calls from him that week. That was the only moment he's changed in face and said I can schedule it by myself, but then he won't be responsible for me failing the exam. That was the tipping point when I decided I don't care about the rest of the money and stopped the classes. When leaving the car he has been shouting that I will never pass and exam with this attitude and I should not be allowed to drive at all. Nonetheless, I have found a great school afterwards and passed by exam quickly and easily in Amsterdam, on the date I've confirmed to the school, in a calm atmosphere with instructor being on time for each of the classes. Please DO NOT go to Ron and OpperTopper, but if you've experienced this scam, know that there are maby other nice schools out there!
