Fantastische ervaring: I had a great experience with this driving school! My instructor, Hendri, is a very nice and positive person who explained everything clearly from the start. During each class, we had been taking notes on the paper with my mistakes so that I could go over them later and make sure I did not make the same mistakes again. He helped me build the knowledge and skills necessary to become a good driver. As a university student, I really appreciated his flexibility, which made it easier to fit classes into my busy schedule. The classes were always punctual and finished on time. I also liked that he picked me up and dropped me off either at home or at university, saving me the hassle and time of traveling to a specific location. The theory material was interactive and helpful, although I didn’t use the explanation videos or Zoom lessons. One thing I noticed was that some questions in the 50 practice tests repeated with the same pictures and wording, which made it easy to memorize the answers. Hence, I finished the last exams in less than 10 minutes without really understanding the questions and I think this could be an area for improvement. However, if you fail the exam after passing 7/10 practise exams, they give you a refund, which is great. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience! Thanks to the instructor's guidance and positivity, I got my license. I would definitely recommend this driving school, especially if you're looking for English classes.

I lacked confidence due to my previous experience with other driving schools and negative 1st attempt to pass the driving test. But Hendri made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He is very calm, understanding and patient. He determined the mistakes I usually do and we focused on working on them. Fantastische ervaring: I would say the learning experience with Hendri was valuable for me. I had a previous driving instructor but I decided not to take the exam since I did not feel the improvement and confidence I should have after finishing a whole driving package. I then found another school which I met Hendri that gave me attentive instructions, showing me a lot of small things firstly seemed not a big deal but they actually made whole difference for improvement. Hendri guided me how to deal with stress (inevitable) and make it helpful for curiosity and improvements. If you are expat and even not familiar with the driving, Hendri is definitely your man. Fantastische ervaring: Once you decide to acquire your Dutch driving license, does not matter how long have you been a driver, no one is able to pass the exams without lessons. It is because it is not (only) about technique but (much) more about behavior. You need to approach it almost as a re-education course, and if you learn it, it is worth it. I recommend Hendri as he helped me to pass on my first exam. He provided me with a structured approach and all his advice is grounded on what you are expected to perform on the day of your exam. If you listen to Hendri and understand that it is about the examiner and the test, you will do well and succeed.

He is patient and encourages you in difficult moments. Driving in the Netherlands can be challenging, especially as an EXPAT. Following his advice, we did the mock exam. Then, the day arrived for the real EXAM. It's known that the Netherlands has one of the lowest passing rates in Europe. Thanks to Hendri, I passed on the FIRST attempt! I particularly appreciated that Hendri ensures you are ready before taking the exam. When I did the exam, I felt prepared, and therefore, the exam felt more like a “normal” class. I started in very bad shape and stress issue, but Hendri was patient enough to correct a lot of bad habits I got from the previous instructor and train me the right routines. Fantastische ervaring: Henri is a great driving instructor, he is very patient and gentle which worked out really well for me. I had a lot of anxiety about driving when we started our refresher lessons. Even though I already had a driving license, I hadn't used it in years and I was very scared to get behind the wheel. We went back to the basics and took it one step at the time. Now I am very comfortable with driving in the city again. I am still working on getting used to the highway, but I feel confident in my skills after the lessons we had. I might still not be the best driver out there, but I can get around by myself without being anxious or scared and I don't have to bother anyone to drive me places anymore, which was the most important goal for me. I would absolutely recommend Henri for anyone who is scared or anxious about driving.

Fantastische ervaring: I started as a fresh student without any prior driving experience and thanks to Hendri’s way of teaching, I could develope a structured way of driving that helped me succeed. Hendri is very patient and happy to demonstrate & also willing to repeat if you are having difficulty in any particular exercise. He is very observant of your driving and keeps track of your progress and provides a constructive feedback during and at the end of every class, this helps a lot as you can focus on areas that you need to work on. Negatieve ervaring: What makes an good driving instructor? 1. Knowing elements to be trained and ways of training them 2. Structured approach to teaching and individual training/communication 3. Structured administration especially when booking exams/appointments 4. Extra: being able to motivate a student 1.Hendri definitely knows how a student should drive to pass an exam. I believe he understands the sub-elements that need to trained in order to get to a necessary level. Unfortunately, he has no structure to his classes that would allow you to properly obtain those skills ( eg after two months of classes, he wanted me steer differently and referred to class 1 and 2, and he never gave me instructions on steering during those classes, there are other examples). 2. While some other students that I personally know had good experience with Hendri, mine was far from adequate. His method of teaching was draining and time-consuming. I acknowledge that each case is different, but I would recommend Hendri to revisit his teaching style to tailor it to. A given student. 3. This is a bug concern of mine when it came to Hendri. He is very unorganised with his administration. It first came about with his class scheduling, but was the most problematic when it came to scheduling exams. When asked to schedule an exam, he would not do it for months. Later when regulations changed and it became more difficult to schedule a date, instructions of checking more frequently to ensure an appointment, he stopped the communication for a couple of months and I had to reach out yet again to get an exam scheduled. Upon failing the exam, I asked him to schedule another one with a possibility to rebook if we both felt I was ready earlier. He refused stating it is taking too much energy from him. Please note, that at this point we have been having classes on and off for 1 year and 3,5 months. While I understand that he might not enjoy admin tasks and is limited in time (since he works by himself), it is a crucial part of the job to get someone a license. 4. While this might not be a crucial element, i often found myself very discouraged with Hendri’s comments. It led to me lacking confidence in general and certainly didn’t help the speed of learning and confidence during the exams. I decided to change the instructor as clearly this was an unfortunate mismatch for me. Overall, if you already have a license (due to 30% ruling or otherwise) and/or are in no rush to get a license, then Hendri would be a good fit for you. In a different case, i would consider another school.

Fantastische ervaring: Henri is the best teacher out there! I passed my practical exam in the first try. I took driving lessons before in my former home country and with other teachers in Rotterdam, but it was clear I did's even learn to steer and position the car properly . Henri has a very methodic and systematic way of teaching, you gradually learn step by step to become a good driver. Some classes you might do the same exercise over and over until you nail it. He is also very patience, and communicates clear the steps of each exercise. Hendri is very professional, always on time, very nice and clean car. Totally recommended!!

His English is very good, so he is able to give clear, simple instructions. I moved away from Rotterdam before finishing my lessons with him, so he offered me a fair refund for the services I no longer needed. If I hadn’t moved away, I would have happily continued to take lessons with him until I got my Dutch license. Thanks Hendri!

Reason for that is simple and straightforward: Hendri is a very calm and understanding instructor. As an international student, I did not understand the flow of traffic in the Netherlands, which is very important to know to become a good driver here. Hendri quickly recognized this, as well as other difficulties I faced and practiced with me to perfection. All while being patient and understanding. Moreover, especially for me as a student, it was very convenient to be able to arrange a flexible schedule for driving classes. I had previous driving experience and licenses in two countries and still needed a significant number of lessons to pass the exam and feel comfortable driving in Netherlands. It takes a long time to break the old habbits, even though I had my own car to drive and practice on (legally allowed 6 months upon entry), so my advice to all is not to take it lightly. Hendri is a great tutor and very straightforward with expectations/possibilities, so pay close attention to his comments/advice. It was a great pleasure to work with him.

I'm always feel nervous when driving, and I had a terrible instructor before had class with Hendri. I took the CBR exam eight times and he didn't tell me that the car's reflector are adjustable. I couldn't see some angles and he would tell me because I was too short. I don't even know how to turn well. Hendri explained it to me patiently and kept thinking about various methods. Hendri helped me solve all the problems very well, and successfully got the driver's license. He is the best learning coach instructor.

We focused on understanding the traffic in the Netherlands and correcting bad behaviors. Positieve ervaring: As an international came to the Netherlands more than 5 years ago. I tried before through two different driving schools 1-2 years ago. I did not like the expereince because either English skills or lack of helpful information. I finally made my mind to start learning driving in Rotterdam. Luckily I found Hendri through my co-worker who had a great learning experience with Hendri. I am during learning process but I can see my progress every week. Compared to the other driving instructor, Hendri is a good english speaker understands international who drives in the Netherlands can be differernt from their nome country in terms of road rules or mentality. Therefore, he helps me from different ways to conquer my driving fear and improve my know-how in the car. Fantastische ervaring: Recommendable! What I liked the most about Hendri is that he gives clear instructions. If you make a mistake, then he explains why it is not good and how to do it better. This is all done in a friendly and respectful way.

Fantastische ervaring: I found Hendrie very knowledgeable in all his instructions. He told you what to do and why; taking the time to explain. He was also very observant and saw when I didn't follow the correct steps. He was willing to do something again until I got it right. He also very firm; something I needed. All in all I can say that Hendrie is good at what he does. I would highly recommend him.
