Fantastische ervaring: Dit is echt een top rijschool en ik ben zo blij dat ik hier heb kunnen afrijden. Ik kwam hiervoor van een andere rijschool en was daar 3x gezakt. Ik heb echt veel meegemaakt bij die rijschool. Het ging zo ver dat ik op een gegeven moment geen zelfvertrouwen meer had en constant bij mezelf dacht dat ik helemaal niet kon autorijden. Ik wilde bijna geen examen meer afleggen en stoppen met lessen, want ik zag het niet meer zitten. Toch ben ik bij de Rijacademie terecht gekomen. De Rijacademie heeft mij het tegendeel bewezen en ik ben na de 2e keer geslaagd. Ik heb bij Slaven echt leren autorijden en ben met een fijn gevoel het examen in begeleid, desondanks ik bijna op het punt stond om op te geven heeft hij ervoor gezorgd dat ik het heb gehaald. I came here with zero driving experience and was scared of the idea of driving in general, but we built my confidence, and I passed the driving exam without problems. Slaven (the owner of De Rijacademie) is a great teacher who adapts lessons to your skills and focuses on areas for improvement. I liked the structure of our lessons: we started with the very basic things (steering, controlling the car itself) and then moved to confident, safe driving step by step. I am a person who learns best by making mistakes, and throughout all the lessons, I felt comfortable and safe to make these mistakes without any judgment. Good prices, easy scheduling of lessons, Slaven is reliable and responsive; I never had any issues with communication or keeping agreements. I highly recommend De Rijacademie to anyone!

From my first lesson Slaven made me feel at ease, with no judgement of my nervousness. He built up my confidence and taught me about the NL rules of the road. Fantastische ervaring: Slaven is god sent for me. He is the most patient and calm human being and driving instructor i have ever met. I owe every single bit of success in getting my driving license to him. You can blindly trust the guy and the only thing you need to do is follow him as your guru. I followed every single bit of what he taught me and I passed the exams today. I went from getting a heart attack on highway to being so smooth. We had lot of fun, jokes and I will always remember this guy in my prayers. I know its a small thing but for me its a life changing achievement and I thank him for that.

He was able to find availability within a very short notice for a refresher course and helped me to build confidence behind the wheel. He made sure to cover various manoeuvres and scenarios, and always made sure to go back and double check if I actually learned the lesson. Fantastische ervaring: While I used to drive in my native country, I was apprehensive driving here in NL. The rules, the steering and side of the road that we drive here at are different. Matos helped me navigate (pun intended) all this and my learning went pretty well and quick. I don’t speak Dutch but he could easily help me out in English. Fantastische ervaring: Slaven is a great person and teacher, and as he mentioned few times about his driving experience he had driven from the Earth to the Moon and back few times, in term of milage. If you would like to have structural and personal approach then don't think twice he is the person to go. No stress while learning, only fun, and good talks ;) Slaven really predicts everything even your unpredictable crazy moves during driving, while keep it calm, without screaming or anything. Fantastische ervaring: I recently took driving lessons from this academy and I have to say, I am extremely happy with the experience. Despite having a driving license, I didn't feel confident enough to drive and had a long break in driving. However, the instructor was very friendly and patient, and showed me all the nuances to driving in the Netherlands. He was a great teacher who taught me very well, and what's most important is that I feel confident now and I am no longer scared to drive. Overall, I would highly recommend this driving school to anyone who wants to learn how to drive, especially if you need to regain your confidence on the road.

Fantastische ervaring: Hands down best driving school in Zaanstad!! As an expat I had the best experience with Slaven as he was very fluent in his English and explained everything clearly (He is also fluent in Dutch so I am sure local students would have similar experience). He repeated the rules every time I missed something without losing patience and finally everything started sinking in. It was also fun to drive around with him and have conversations about life in general. Passed my driving test with his school in my first attempt. Previously tried other schools in the region but did not pass as they were not giving all the information to me clearly. Highly recommended. I wish I started with his school and not wasted my money with other schools.

Fantastische ervaring: Matos has great passion and skills about teaching driving lessons and she made me quite comfort asking for any questions about theory or practical lesson. He maintains great respect and privacy during classes and never late for appointment. If you would like to learn Car driving , he is right choice. Of course he speak excellent English, apart from native Dutch :) During lessons, even if someone misunderstood concepts, he will make sure to take you through the same scenario and make sure you understood, i really like his approach.

Negatieve ervaring: I had a bad experience learning at this driving school. Slaven Matos who is the instructor wasted four months of my time, and at the end, when my practice exam was near, he behaved discourteous and stopped working for me and canceled my exam without my agreement.

Fantastische ervaring: Na enorm veel onderzoek en proeflessen bij andere rijscholen, kwam ik uit eindelijk goed terecht bij de Rijacademie. Ik was er welbewust van dat dit een kwalitatieve rijschool is gelijk na mijn proefles. Doorgaans met de rijlessen heb ik ook ingezien dat ik de juiste keuze heb gemaakt. Slaven Matos is een hele fijne rijinstructeur. Hij luistert aandachtig naar je wensen en houdt daar rekening mee. Kan zich goed aanpassen per leerling en heeft de inzicht over wat nodig is om verder te gaan. Hij is een doorzetter en gedreven rijinstructeur. Fantastische ervaring: Excellent driving school! I passed my exam on the first attempt ! Classes are personalized and adapted to the student's tempo and needs . I believe I was his oldest student but Matos makes sure that I feel appreciated and confident. I was a driver with old habits but Matos showed me the right way to go. We went many times all over to the same situation until I got it! I was afraid to speed on the highway but he gave me all the tools I needed to master it. Matos patiently corrects as many times as necessary, always with great respect and politeness. He is very experienced and patient instructor, in a good way he is demanding too , he pushed me to do my best to be well prepare to drive in Nederland and to past the test. Fantastische ervaring: Na wat proeflessen te hebben gehad bij verschillende rijscholen in de buurt kwam ik uiteindelijk bij Slaven van De Rijacademie terecht. Het verschil in kwaliteit viel direct op en mijn zoektocht naar een goede rijschool was ook meteen klaar. Slaven hanteert een hele fijne volgorde van het leren rijden. Niet direct alles tegelijk, maar stap voor stap komen er nieuwe dingen bij en word je steeds zelfstandiger. Daarnaast heeft Slaven een manier om je volledig op je gemak te laten voelen bij hem in de auto. Dit merkte ik niet alleen bij mijzelf, maar ook met andere lessers bij het ophalen en afzetten. Fantastische ervaring: Slaven is an excellent teacher and he really knows a lot about car driving. He teaches and tests you in a variety of scenarios on the road. and often he can predict your actions while driving. At times, he can be strict but that is necessary to learn how to become a good driver. Because of this, I was able to pass my driving test on the first attempt. I feel a lot confident to be behind the wheels alone. He is also always on time and connects a lot with the student.

Fantastische ervaring: Just passed my test today. I'm a first time driver without prior cycling experience, so this overall driving gig was a huge challenge for me from the start. I had to change driving schools midways and I'm very happy I found Slaven. I'm particularly happy with Slaven's method - very structured, clear, result driven. Worked great for me. It is also a huge surplus that he provides both manual and automatic lessons as at some point I felt like I was going nowhere with manual and he suggested trying automatic instead - and that worked out great.

Fantastische ervaring: I came to Slaven’s school when I was 30 years old and it was my first time i ever tried to drive a car. All my life I was certain it’s something beyond my capabilities and I was very afraid to be in a car even as a passenger. I cannot stress enough how hopeless did I think I was I passed my driving exam this week on my second try and honestly, I think I would never have made it with another instructor. Learning should be fun and you will get it at De Rijacademie. From the lesson 1 I told Slaven, I don’t care how many lessons I would need and I won’t be asking you about it. I want to drive safely and confident. I reached that goal and I am very thankful for all the support I received. To all the negative commenters below and people who are sceptical I would advise not to forget that success is in your own hands. The instructor is there to guide and help, without your dedication, without taking responsibility of your own actions and judgements, you will be getting from school to school and blaming everyone else on your failure. It’s like when on the road blaming the other drivers of bad driving and not seeing/admitting your own mistakes. I have met a few students (at least 5) coming to De Rijacademie from other schools where they had a terrific experience and they were very happy as they felt welcomed, safe and supported here. Fantastische ervaring: It was nice to work with Matos, good teacher, unfortunately I didn’t pass my exam , but it is only because of me! He is really straight, and says what he think, I really recommend him!

Fantastische ervaring: Thanks to Matos, I passed my exam today :) I have been practicing with Matos for a long time (partially due to the lockdown & partially because driving is not my strongest point). He is a very patient, reasonable guy and tries to explain everything not just by saying, also by showing examples. He also tailors his teaching approach based on the character of students, and make goals for every step towards the real exam. In this way, I always get enough feedback of what percentage I have achieved towards being a good driver and where I can still improve. Now I am confident enough to drive on my own. If you live in Zaandam or surrounding cities and looking for a trustworthy instructor, choose Matos and you are definitely in good hands.

Fantastische ervaring: I would really recommend this school and the instructor Matos who provides clear and professional advises on how to improve your driving skills. Although we end up not working with each other for long due to conflict of our schedules, from my experience I would say that a. he provides clear and constructive feedbacks, so not only tell you your weakest points but also the positive points, which is valuable as then you'd know certain things you can put aside and not worried about, b. his English is very good and he conducts lesson in professional manner, so not going on and on about his personal life (you'd be surprised how often instructors do that), c. he plans ahead and sets up clear expectations, on his schedule there is a clear yes, no or to be confirmed. I would particularly recommend if you are looking for instructors who are experienced working with expats who not only gives lessons in English and works with you to adapt to the Dutch driving style. Compare to other instructors I've worked with, he doesn't belittle my driving style that you I have developed in other countries but provides objective and constructive advices.

Negatieve ervaring: Tijdens het lessen is hij rustig en geduldig, maar daarbuiten heeft hij een zeer onprofessionele houding. Schreeuwt en scheldt aan de telefoon bij het stellen van een vraag en als hij in een slechte bui is. Hij heeft last van enorme stemmingswisselingen, wat als leerling een onveilig/onprettig gevoel kan geven. Belt meerdere keren in de avonden om te discussiëren over de planning, spamt je telkens via whatsapp als je even niet kan antwoorden op een vraag. Daarna verwijdert hij z’n berichten weer. Kan flippen om de kleinste veranderingen, zoals een wijziging in locatie. Wordt geïrriteerd als je hem niet wil accepteren op sociaal media. Zo kan ik nog doorgaan…. Als je professionaliteit verwacht van je opleider, ben je hier niet op het juiste adres.

Fantastische ervaring: Hele fijne rijervaring gehad bij deze rijschool! In 1x geslaagd dankzij Slaven zijn professionele en gezellige sfeer in de auto. Hij kijkt per leerling wat nodig is en stemt zijn lessen hierop af. Verder altijd flexibel met tijden en afspraken. Ik heb autorijden als iets zeer positiefs ervaren en altijd zin gehad in de rijlessen, het is een topper :)

Fantastische ervaring: Een rijschool die gericht is op goede rij kwaliteit en eerlijkheid, je leert al snel bijzondere verrichting te doen en zelfstandig rijden op een rustige en leerzame manier. Fantastische ervaring: Ik heb mijn rijbewijs gehaald bij de rijacademie. Ik heb een hele leuke tijd gehad tijdens het rijden. De rijinstructeur gaat goed met de tijd en de jongeren van nu mee. Ik ging niet met tegenzin naar mijn lessen daarom raad ik iedereen aan om hier zijn rijbewijs te gaan halen. Ik kan nu op me zelf lekker rijden dankje wel rijacademie

Fantastische ervaring: Ik ben heel tevreden over deze rijschool. Ondanks de eerste keer te zijn gezakt heb ik nooit het gevoel gehad het niet te gaan halen. Dankzij de structurele en rustige aanpak van Slaven Matos heb ik goed leren rijden en ging ik zelfverzekerd mijn examens in.

Fantastische ervaring: Recenties schrijven doe ik doorgaans niet maar voor deze dude maak ik graag een uitzondering. Na vele jaren pogingen doen bij meer dan 10 verschillende rijscholen in 4 steden is het me dankzij Matos dan toch eindelijk gelukt mijn rijbewijs te halen. De lessen bij De Rijacademie zijn persoonlijk, progressief & afwisselend met een juiste balans tussen positieve en negatieve kritiek. Ik heb veel lol gehad en stapte nooit met tegenzin de auto in wat bij zijn voorgangers wel anders was. Ik weet als geen ander hoe moeilijk het is om een degelijke rijschool te vinden. Veel instructeurs begrijpen niet hoe je effectief les geeft. Laat je kansloze rondjes rijden waarbij de telefoon veel interessanter is dan de leerling, raakt snel geirriteerd en/of vertraagd het proces opzettelijk. De Rijacademie maakt een positief verschil op de ongelukkige keuzes die ik eerder maakte. Thanks Matos!

Fantastische ervaring: Matos is een rijinstructeur die veel aandacht voor je heeft in de auto, dit zorgde ervoor dat ik me altijd comfortabel voelde in de auto. Ook was hij altijd eerlijk met hoe de les was verlopen en waar nog aan gewerkt moest worden.Verder waren de lessen altijd gezellig en heb ik vele leuke uren in de auto doorgebracht met Matos. Al met al zou ik deze rijschool echt aanraden als je je rijbewijs wil gaan halen.

Fantastische ervaring: Niks anders te zeggen dan een top rij instructeur! Je voelt je erg op je gemak bij Matos en hij zorgt er voor dat je de rust en concentratie houd. Legt ook alles goed uit en geeft je de tijd om te leren/bij te leren. Verder ook altijd tijd om te lachen in de auto! Bedankt voor alles!

The owner and driving instructor Matos Slaven is very patient, friendly and he really focuses on your success so you become a confident, good and independent driver instead of just passingthe test as quickly as possible. He will be honest in telling you where you are at and if you follow his instructions, you will succeed. I've worked with him for the last 8 months and I can confirm he's been consistent, I'd recommend him without a doubt.

Fantastische ervaring: This school is perfect! the lessons were in English (well, learned some Dutch words too:)), Slaven is very kind and patient teacher, every lesson you learn something new step by step. I have never drove a car before and was afraid of highways, but gained confidence and skills easily. Now I am a very happy and confident driver, passed the exam from the first attempt after about 30 driving hours and I am very grateful that I chose this school because I got not only driving license but also a good friend! Will recommend this school to everyone because the lessons are really efficient and worth the money. Top!

Fantastische ervaring: Door de goede begeleiding van De Rijacademie heb ik mijn rijbewijs in één keer kunnen halen! Matos zorgt voor begeleiding op maat. Hierdoor heb ik in korte tijd geleerd om niet alleen voor het examen te slagen , maar ook om vol zelfvertrouwen , zelfstandig en veilig te rijden wanneer ik dat rijbewijs ook echt zou hebben.
